Led by Grammy Award–winning trombonist, Ryan Keberle, THE CATHARSIS TRIO has been praised by the Los Angeles Times for its “potent blend of cinematic sweep and lush, ear-grabbing melodies.” The ensemble weaves together chamber music, South American folk traditions, and indie rock within a modern jazz framework, creating a sound that is both expansive and deeply personal—one that has captivated audiences around the world for nearly a decade.

At the heart of Catharsis is the striking rapport between Keberle and guitarist/vocalist Camila Meza, anchored by the unshakeable pulse of bassist Jorge Roeder. Together, they form a distinctive musical voice—rich with drama, intimacy, and quiet intensity.

Catharsis has toured extensively across the globe, appearing at major international jazz festivals, concert halls, jazz clubs, and universities, and has been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series as well as the French television channel Mezzo.

The members of Catharsis bring a remarkable depth of experience, each playing a vital role in today’s leading jazz, Latin jazz, and indie rock scenes, with collaborations spanning artists such as Maria Schneider, John Zorn, Julian Lage, Shai Maestro, and Sufjan Stevens.
