END TRIO was formed by some of the leading contemporary voices in non-traditional Traditional jazz with the aim of exploring extended group improvisation while being firmly rooted in the history and sound of acoustic jazz. Led by New Orleans–based sound artist, composer and multi‑instrumentalist, Aurora Nealand, the trio plays music from across the Americas, combining fiery instrumental virtuosity with a love for sad songs.

AURORA NEALAND is a New Orleans–based sound artist, composer, and multi‑instrumentalist best known as a bandleader on the city’s vibrant traditional and experimental jazz scenes. Nealand has toured as a featured artist to national & international festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival, Istanbul Jazz Festival, Big Ears Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, MPB Jazz Festival (Natal, Brazil), Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Summerstage NYC & The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.   She has worked with Pauline Oliveros, Jonathan Hart Makwaia, Preservation Hall Allstars, Bill Frisell, Tim Berne, James Singleton, David Torn, Arto Lindsey, Germaine Bazzle, John Boutte, Johnny Vidacovich and many more.  She is the co-founder of SONO (Sound Observatory New Orleans) which facilitates workshops of new music in the New Orleans region.  She has been awarded residencies at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center, the MacDowell Colony, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

JOSH DUNN is a Tasmanian guitarist and banjo player living in Brooklyn. He specialises in jazz guitar from the early 20th century, and performs around the US and abroad in numerous traditional jazz ensembles. He plays at Birdland Jazz Club every Thursday as a member of the High Society Band.

ROB ADKINS is one of the most in-demand bass players for traditional jazz in New York. He plays with a wide variety of musicians including Emily Asher, Tamar Korn, Dan Levinson, Gordon Au, Mike Davis, and Ehud Asherie.
