JMMR (Jordan McLean's Musical Resistance) brings you the new sounds of Electrobeat, with their debut album Resistance is Fertile. Resisting despair since 2019, the Resistance was rebuilt for the long haul in 2024. Founded by long-time Antibalas trumpeter and bandleader/arranger Jordan McLean, the members of the Musical Resistance have performed with a diverse array of artists such as The Roots, TV on the Radio, Tony Allen, Steven Tyler, Iron and Wine, Zack Bryan, David Byrne, Patti Labelle, Sharon Jones and the Dapkings, JRAD, Medeski Martin & Wood and Ornette Coleman to name only a very few.
