DANIEL D’ALCANTARA is one of Brazil’s leading jazz trumpeters, composers, and educators. He has performed with artists such as João Donato, Ivan Lins, Rosa Passos, and Milton Nascimento, recorded extensively as a leader and with the Soundscape Big Band. Since 2023 has been conductor and soloist of the São Paulo Big Band in the Encontros Históricos series at Sala São Paulo. Recognized as Educator of the Year by the Berklee International Network, he teaches at EMESP Tom Jobim, Souza Lima College, and the São Paulo Municipal School of Music.
FELIPE SILVEIRA has been a professional musician for 15 years, time during which he has already gained a vast experience by playing alongside accomplished Brazilian legends such as Nailor Proveta, Hector Costita, Lito Robledo, Vinicius Dorin, Sizão Machado, Celso de Almeida, and international artists such as Ryan Keberle, Ted Nash, Marcus Printup, Baptiste Herbin, Woody Witt, Davy Mooney, Michael Waldrop, David Spencer, John Ellis among others.
THIAGO ALVES, bass player, composer, and arranger from São Paulo, Brazil, has been a professional musician for over 20 years, gaining extensive experience playing with masters of Brazilian music such as Dominguinhos, Alaíde Costa, Claudete Soares, Leny Andrade, Guinga, Filó Machado and many others; and masters of Brazilian jazz such as Nailor Proveta, Daniel D’Alcântara, Toninho Ferragutti, Luiz Mello, and others.
He has performed and recorded alongside international guests such as Davy Mooney, Ted Nash, Alex Sipiagin, Will Vinson, John Ellis, Guillermo Klein, Sullivan Fortner, Aaron Parks, Jorge Rossy, Lionel Loueke, Chris Cheek, Larry Grenadier, Linda May Han Oh, Miguel Zenon, and many others.
Currently, in addition to his presence on the São Paulo scene, he is also consolidating his international career, performing in Europe and the United States.
Brazilian drummer PAULINHO VICENTE, a Unicamp graduate (BA 2020, MA 2024), has played with leading figures in Brazilian music like João Bosco, Toninho Horta, Filó Machado, and Dominguinhos, as well as international artists including Ryan Keberle, Ted Nash, and John Patitucci. He has performed at major festivals across Brazil, Latin America, and the U.S., with notable appearances at Smalls Jazz Club (NYC) and recordings with Ryan Keberle and Davy Mooney. Vicente is active in both live performance and studio sessions, bridging Brazilian and international jazz scenes.
