LunÁtico warmly welcomes Argentine guitar virtuoso and singer-songwriter Marcelo Dellamea for his first ever New York City appearance. Marcelo is a widely respected musician in his home country — known for fusing traditional folk with elements of contemporary jazz and global sounds. Tonite he shares the bandstand with an all-star NYC lineup that you don’t want to miss!

. His compositions—such as the intimate and atmospheric “Amanecer Litoral”—are rooted in melodic storytelling and emotional nuance. Whether interpreting classic folklore or reimagining Latin American genres, Dellamea’s performances are marked by lyrical guitar phrasing, subtle rhythmic depth, and a warm, expressive vocal style. His dual talent as a virtuosic guitarist and sensitive singer-songwriter has positioned him as a leading voice in Argentina’s new wave of acoustic music creators.

MARCELO DELLAMEA was born in Resistencia, Chaco, in northern Argentina, and later moved to Buenos Aires to pursue formal music studies and further immerse himself in the country’s vibrant artistic scene. In addition, he co-founded the trio Dos Más Uno with Hugo Dellamea and Ariel Sánchez—formed in 2012 and later the house band on La Peña de Morfi (Telefe) from 2018 to 2024, earning broad TV exposure and fueling nationwide festival tours and European performances.Today, Marcelo is widely recognized as one of the most distinctive voices in Argentina’s modern guitar landscape. 

Known for his fluid technique and stylistic versatility, he has shared stage with a wide range of international artists including Snarky Puppy, Djavan, David Bisbal, Lila Downs, Scott Henderson, Steve Vai, Chucho Valdés, Jaques Morelenbaum, and Eva Ayllón. As a session guitarist, he has recorded for artists as varied as Ismael Serrano, Yamandú Costa, Bizarrap and Milo J.

His latest release, the Standards Solo EP (2025), is a minimalist, guitar-led exploration of jazz standards, showcasing his technical finesse and interpretative depth. Prior to that, his 2023 album Vida earned a nomination for Best Folklore Album at Argentina’s prestigious Premios Gardel.
