MARYAM TURKEY is an Iraqi-American musician and visual artist based in New York. Her music flows between Arabic and English, drawing from her roots in Baghdad and her life in the U.S. Blending haunting vocals, raw storytelling, and hypnotic rhythms. Her live performances often feature the SP-404 sampler, live percussion, and rich collaborations with some of New York’s most renowned experimental musicians, including Shahzad Ismaily, Will Graefe, Kenny Wollesen, and Jesse Harris.
Maryam’s debut EP was released in 2024, and she is currently mixing her first full-length album—an emotional and genre-fluid project that reinterprets Iraqi folk melodies through a contemporary, dreamlike lens.
