THE TONY DAVIS TRIO channels fiery, soulful energy into a fresh sound that’s as accessible as it is adventurous. Their sets flow effortlessly from jazz classics to Afro-Latin- inspired grooves, contemporary folk-rock, and Davis’ distinctive, evocative original compositions—each performance marked by deep listening, dynamic interplay, and joyful spontaneity.

TONY DAVIS is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, vocalist, composer, and producer based in New York City. His sound seamlessly blends elements of various Afro-Latin traditions, folk, rock, and classical music into his deep roots in jazz and blues, contributing a unique and compelling voice to contemporary music. A dynamic performer, Tony has appeared at prestigious venues such as The Blue Note, The Village Vanguard, Smalls, Birdland, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as major festivals like the Newport Jazz Festival.

Recognized as a rising star guitarist at the Wes Montgomery Tribute Festival in 2016, Tony has since forged a vibrant solo career, most recently leading international performances in Mexico, Chile, and Paris, and has shared the stage with artists such as Anderson .Paak, Christian McBride, George Coleman, Sullivan Fortner, and Abraham Burton.

His debut album Golden Year (Posi-Tone, 2020) introduced his intricate yet soulful voice as both composer and bandleader. He went on to release Daring Two Be (La Reserve, 2022), a duet album with Brazilian vocalist Jamile Ayres, and Cloud Nova (2024), his first major foray into the singer-songwriter realm while staying rooted in jazz. His next album, Jessamine—a deeply personal and stylistically expansive project—is set for release in Fall 2025.

Davis’ ongoing contributions to the music scene reflect his dynamic artistry and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz and beyond.
