Born in Rio de Janeiro, DUDUKA DA FONSECA is a 4-time GRAMMY® Award Nominee Drummer. He has appeared on over 250 albums alongside American Jazz icons as well as Brazilian Jazz Icons, including 25 albums as a leader/co-leader, making him one of the most recorded Brazilian drummers in this idiom.
VINÍCIUS GOMES is a Brazilian jazz guitarist, composer, and first-call sideman. His sound weds Brazilian classical, jazz, and American jazz traditions to the advanced chromatics of Baden Powell, Pat Metheny, and Julian Lage. Gomes is known internationally as one of Brazil's finest accompanists for vocalists; he was worked extensively with Zizi Possi, Rosa Passos, and Jane Duboc as both an accompanist and music director.
EDUARDO BELO is a bass player and composer from Brasília, Brazil now living in New York City. A highly versatile player, he has shared the stage with Michel Camilo, Romero Lubambo, Lee Konitz, Chico Pinheiro, Duduka da Fonseca, Pedro Martins, Bebel Gilberto and many many others.
MANUEL VALERA is a Cuban-born pianist, composer, and bandleader renowned for his innovative fusion of jazz and Latin music. Since establishing himself in New York, Valera has become a prominent figure in the modern jazz scene, collaborating with luminaries such as Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D’Rivera, Dafnis Prieto, Jeff “Tain” Watts, and Yosvany Terry.
