Brooklyn-based Slovenian saxophonist IGOR LUMPERT brings his latest INNERTEXTURES to the LunÁtico bandstand. This incarnation of Lumpert’s music fuses the avant-garde with more traditional jazz stylings, owing as much to, say, Ben Webster as it does the Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Innertextures has released five albums: “I Am The Spirit of The Earth” (2022), Eleven (2018), “Innertextures live” (2012), “Mineral Mind” (2009) and “Innertextures” (2004). The most recent three albums, released on the Portuguese label Cleen Feed Records, received critical praise for their “elusive lightness” and “original funk brilliance.”

Lumpert studied with George Garzone, Reggie Workman, Buster Williams, and Chico Hamilton and appears regularly at jazz festivals worldwide.
