Pangari and the Socialites take their cues from classic Jamaican groups with a wide repertoire of vintage ska, rocksteady and soul and early reggae. Fronted by Bassist Ari Folman-Cohen and featuring a rotating cast of Brooklyn’s finest improvising musicians Pangari has been paying tribute to the work of early ska masters such as The Skatalites, Jackie Mittoo, Alton Ellis, and Jackie Opel in clubs and venues around New York since 2016.
