A trio of strong composers and instrumentalists well-versed in each others’ work and with a long history of music-making together.

Peggy Stern has worked extensively with Lee Konitz, Jay Clayton, Diane Schuur, Stanley Turrentine, Gary Peacock. After 12 years as creator and artistic director of The Wall Street Jazz Festival (Kingston, NY), Peggy created LuluFest (Austin, TX), “where the traditions meet the progressives, and all the leaders are women.”

Claire Daly is the 2018, 2017 and 2005 recipient of the Jazz Journalist Assn. Baritonist of the Year. Her extensive credits include having her CD in the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library as a CD significant to the president. Her last 2 CDs were in the top ten on jazz radio charts.

LunÀtico co-founder, Arthur Kell, is an internationally-acclaimed bassist and composer with a top-notch quartet. His group has performed throughout Europe including the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, the Madrid Jazz Festival and the Jazz & More Festival (Romania). He has worked with Thomas Chapin, Matt Darriau, Sam Newsome and Steve Cardenas and many others. He appears on Valerie June’s new album “Astral Plane.”
