Andrew D'Angelo (alto saxophone)
Carmen Rothwell (bass)
Allan Mednard (drums)

This TRIO will perform at Lunatico for the second time before heading into the studio to make their debut recording later in June. Each member has a rich and varied history in both the Seattle and New York music scenes. With an expressionistic, unbridled sound on alto saxophone and an imagination to match, the iconoclastic Andrew D'Angelo has been a distinctive voice in the New York avant garde scene for nearly three decades. An upcoming documentary on Andrew’s life is in the works: https://www.andrewdangelodocumentary.com. Allan Mednard has shared the stage with ensembles led by Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks, Ben Street, Ben Allison and the Le Boeuf Brothers. Carmen Rothwell has performed with many notable artists including Billy Hart, Bill Frisell, Cuong Vu, Dave Douglas, George Garzone and Ted Poor. All together, their fresh perspective and tight delivery is a must see, must hear.
