Francesca Bertazzo Hart
The prestigious Italian magazine Musica Jazz has called vocalist and guitarist, Francesca B. Hart, one of Italy’s best talents. No stranger to New York City, she hs worked with Charlie Persip, Dave Stryker, Andy McKee, Armen Donelian, Jeff Hirshfield, Billy Harper ,Cameron Brown, Adam Holzman and Dave Glasser.
In her native Italy, where she graduated at C.P.M. school of music in Milano, she has worked with Ares Tavolazzi, Robert Bonisolo, Riccardo Zegna, Massimo Manzi,Fabrizio Bosso,Bruno Cesselli . She is an excellent interpreter of jazz standards and known for her scat technique.
Trombonist, John Mosca, is a native New Yorker and Juilliard graduate and has performed with Pierre Boulez and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Joe Williams, and Stan Getz, to name a few. He is one of the most respected instrumentalists in the world, a brilliant soloist, and one of the best jazz trombonists ever to grace the scene.
He has played with the Grammy-nominated Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, formerly the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, since 1975 and currently serves as its director. He has also appeared in the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band. At Smalls, he has been featured for many years with Across 7th Street and with the Chris Byars Octet.
Mosca has also been actively involved in jazz education for more than 20 years, having served on the faculty at the Manhattan School of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the University of Connecticut, among others.
