Gabi Hartmann is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Paris, France, whose influences range from Brazilian and African music to Jazz. She studied Philosophy and Politics in Paris and then moved to Rio de Janeiro where she fell in love with Brazilian music, learned to speak Portuguese fluently and performed in local bars. After two years there she moved to London to study ethnomusicology, leading her on musical journeys in South Africa, Guinea and Portugal. After returning to Paris to study jazz, Gabi became a member of many international music groups, including Triozelas and Orchestra Ewa. She is at work recording her first solo project in Rio and New York with Jesse Harris, featuring her original material, as well as new French versions of his songs. Her first single 'Always Seem To Get Things Wrong' is out the 31st of May.
