Tiga Jean Baptiste celebrates Bar LunÀtico's Third Anniversary with a night of Haitian and West African sounds. A mainstay on the LunÀtico bandstand, Tiga brings a stunning intensity to his performances. One doesn't just enjoy the music. One levitates. He is a master of Haitian wind instruments, as well as the Australian didjeridoo and the Mbira from the Shona people of Zimbabwe.
Staying true to his Haitian roots, Tiga has worked with many of Haiti’s most respected artists, including Emeline Michel, Jean-Pual Bourelly and Bonga. He has also successfully ventured outside of tradition, performing with artists from Zimbabwe: Thomas Mapfumo, Stella Chiweshe, Chiwoniso Maraire. Also has performed with Grammy-winner John Legend and Grace Jones. He has been touring/opening for Wyclef Jean.
