Bar LunÁtico is thrilled to witness the burgeoning collaboration featuring pianist/accordionist, Vitor Gonçalves & guitarist, Yotam Silberstein.
Tel–Aviv native Yotam Silberstein began playing guitar at age 10. By the age of 21, Silberstein the young prodigy won the coveted “Israeli Jazz Player of The Year” title. Since arriving in the Big Apple six years ago, he has earned his place among the jazz elite by collaborating with such luminaries as James Moody, The Heath Brothers, Paquito D’ Rivera, Monty Alexander, Roy Hargrove, and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All-Stars.
He teams up here with Vitor Gonçalves, a pianist, accordionist, composer and arranger from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A frequent resident on the stages of Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Jazz Standard, and the Jazz Gallery, Vitor leads his own projects (Vitor Gonçalves Quartet, SanfoNYa Brasileira), and collaborates with figures in the New York scene such as Anat Cohen, Vinícius Cantuária, Kate McGarry, Anthony Wilson, John Zorn, Cyro Baptista, and many others.
