Erik Frandsen is not only a master acoustic guitarist on the level of, say, Bert Jansch, but he is also one of the funniest story tellers and lyricists alive. Years back, he shaved off his trademark handlebar mustache so he could get hired playing bad guys on TV. For you Steven Colbert fans, he also plays the role of Hans Beinhold on the show. How cool is that?

Sharing the night is Devin Hoff,
a top-notch upright bassist who plays with just about everybody important. In his solo incarnation, Devin plays traditional folk ballads accompanying himself solely on bass. A gorgeous and serious contrast to Erik's sardonicism. I hope these guys play a couple tunes together.
